Decent Ovens With Some Caveats

OK, takes much longer to preheat than our now defunct 2007 Monogram double wall oven. We had major issues trying to set up the internet connection required to access some features and make desired adjustments. Most appliances only access the 2.4gHz internet band. Our internet provider™€™s latest router broadcasts both 2.4 and 5 gHz bands but doesn™€™t permit giving each band a unique identifier name, which is the only answer your support staff had about the problem. After we had a major internet and electric power outage, I tried again and the oven inexplicably was able to finally the 2.4 band and get online. If we lose internet, which unfortunately happens too often, we lose the oven™€™s ™€œsmart™€ features. In trying to set up the oven without internet, there was no way to change the default analog face on the oven clock to our preferred digital display. There is no way in the oven™€™s off-line settings to do that. The internet is a great resource - when it™€™s working. But we™€™ll likely never need to turn on the oven remotely using a phone app, look up recipes, etc. Of the three racks provided with each oven, only one had the roll-out functionality ALL racks had with our 2007 Monogram ovens, and the two static racks are flimsy. We still think GE, even though now owned by a Chinese company, are generally good products, but our early experience with these new ovens has been less than positive.

I am NOT happy that the oven came with only 1 easy glide rack... ( 3 were kin my previous oven ) the 2 other wracks are awful ...they are stiff and noisey and slanted... just disappointing. I have complained and was offered new wrecks and they never came ... I will post after the new year if they have Not arrived at my disappointment. They says they were out of stock >>> terrible customer service GE / Bodwell can dp better!!!!! Sy store did not know ow 3 easy glide wracks not in the price...... the usual awful run around

Good oven with some small inconveniences

Good double oven. Lots of features, very versatile, and holds a good temperature. Only reason it does not get five stars is the wifi drops on and off so it is not reliable (on fiber with strong signal), the racks are sometimes difficult to adjust, and it takes time to preheat. But once adjusted and heated it works like a charm.

Great features but expensive

This oven has great features and I tested it's accuracy for temperature (both top and bottom) and it's pretty much right on. I like that both ovens have jacks for temperature probes for cooking meats in both at the same time. My old GE only had that in the top oven. I've got just two complaints. 1) For the price, I would have expected a much longer warrantee. 2) The installers told us not to use self-clean mode but rather steam-clean because self-clean mode gets the oven so hot that after only a few self-cleaning runs the electronics and other components fail. Monogram should either make it more robust for self-clean or only offer the steam-clean mode.

Going back to electric

Our old home had gas stovetop and oven. I was worried going to an electric oven in our new home (we didn't have a choice of gas oven with homebuilder). I absolutely love it. It cooks very evenly. The racks are easy to pull in and out and the bottom rack actually has gliders on it! When you turn on the light you can see like its clear glass. So cool! Top of the line features. I love it!
