My rate for the 48" Monogram side by side refrigerator is base on VALUE (what I paid for what I got). The Inside CU feet space is similar to any 36" full depth $2000 refrigerator. The inside components (shelves, drawers, etc.) are more to the high end, but still, nothing amazing. The mechanic technology is not innovative. It is still based on simple compression principles, like any other refrigerator. The refrigerator is NOISY....and runs most of the time ($$$). It also weights close to ton. Impossible to clean behind it once installed. Nonetheless...happy wife...happy life.

It's been installed and running for 48 hrs now and it does NOT get down to the set temperatures of 0F and 37F. It only goes down to +10F and 45F. Im giving it 24 hrs more before i call for service. very disappointing.

Over priced and Under performs

So far, not the greatest for the price. Had to cut out walkway to get product into the kitchen to instal., months after installation and use, package foam kept blowing out from somewhere (were we suppose to take the whole thing apart, cleaned out and reassembled before using?! Even adjusted to full setting, doors do not Open enough nor, Stay in Place very well. As well, they are set uneven.. Now, not quite a year old, the bottom half of fridge is freezing everything, drawer settings not working. For an Over $10,000 product, pretty disappointing on So many levels

We enjoyed our Monogram built-in refrigerator for 15 years. However, when the sealed system failed, we were unable to find the necessary parts to repair it, so we had to dispose of the old one and purchase a new refrigerator. This has been extremely frustrating. GE could not provide replacement parts for their appliances, and the new model was slightly different in size, which forced us to hire a carpenter to modify our kitchen cabinet. It is incredibly frustrating to spend extra money and be compelled to dispose of a perfectly usable refrigerator. This not only contributes to environmental waste but also results in financial loss. It is unacceptable.

Premium look and feel with minor opportunity

We have owned this built in forester for 60 days and here is the detailed review. Size, the packaging and online dimensions are right on and are perfect. Given this info, the measurements of my cabinets for my home builder were nearly perfect. The size and capacity of the Monogram fridge are excellent. At any given time we have 2 gallons of milk, 3 gallons of orange juice, eggs and all of the standard groceries in the main compartment of the fridge and we are happy. LED lighting look elegant, the statement handles are good quality and packaged well, but still feel overpriced and should be included with the fridge, not sold separately, that™€™s a miss. The waterline included did not work with the line my builder installed, so I grabbed one and all is good for water and ice. My wife keeps sharing the water is great but slow to create ice and I do agree, we are able to add ice to 3 Yeti cups and we™€™re on empty most days. Let™€™s talk packaging, the Monogram ships in a high quality box crate, and the entire fridge is protected by a plastic material made by a tire maker which is impressive. We like the fridge, it adds class to our fridge. Would offer this product a 5-star, but because of the cost of the handles, slow ice machine, squeaky freezer door that has needed lube twice, and the fridge door will not align with the freezer door (followed instructions and won™€™t align) this $13K fridge is a 3.9 star.

This 48" Built-in refrigerator was purchased to replace the identical model after 24 years of dependable service. The only noticeable differences are the LED lights, which are a great improvement, and the water filter which has been moved from inside the refrigerator to above.

We purchased this refrigerator and bottom line we love it. It looks great in our new kitchen and is functioning perfectly. We had a bumpy start with a random water leak due to an mis-seated shark bite fitting but once that was discovered and fixed it has been working perfectly. The temperature control is very good both on the refrigerator and freezer. I was happily surprised to find out we could fit a 9x13 casserole dish in depth wise and not just width wise. There is plenty of space in both the refrigerator and freezer. P.S. Since the attached picture we have received the handles and they look great. Our daughter

Well Lit, Lots of Drawer and Door Space

We have owned our Monogram for 6 months now. It replaced a 20-plus year old Sub Zero. There have been no mechanical or functional issues with it. It runs as it should. There™€™s plenty of interior space and I buy lots of bulky vegetables like cauliflower, broccoli, and kale. Despite being generally satisfied with the Monogram, there are two flaws. The first is the poor accessibility to the ice maker which multiple reviewers have commented on and the second is a lack of dedicated egg storage. I would like an egg tray on the door. Despite these two drawbacks the Monogram is a spacious, well designed unit. And the wait-time from order-to-delivery was months faster than the Sub Zero.

Ice Maker tray design

Overall very satisfied with the exception of the built in icemaker and tray. Shorter people will have a hard time reaching into the tray for ice, it's set too high. There is also a design flaw of the removable tray. Ice falls through through the gap behind the tray and inner back wall. Even if the tray is not full ice gets dropped behind when removing cubes. Gap is too large, there should be a retro fit attachment to close gap.

Everything appears to be perfect except the ice maker. Its too high for my wife to access and she is 5' 3" and the opening is too small for my hand and I'm not that large of a person. Terrible design for refrigerator that costs almost $13K. The ice falls down the freezer from the back also. 5 stars if it wasn't for the terrible ice maker. If they upgrade and fix this on future models I would definitely buy a new ice maker to install in the fridge.

Delivered a Defective Fridge

Was delivered a defective non-working refrigerator. Multiple issues including all thermistors in the refrigerated section being faulty, possibly a defective motherboard, a grinding icemaker, a rattling compressor, and wheezing sounds when running. Monogram doesn't really seem to care and I am still waiting for a replacement. Monogram has not offered a temporary refrigerator during the wait. Pretty disappointed with this purchase.

Days old and no complaints so far. The interior lighting is good and plenty of space for everrything. The icemaker housing is made of flimsy plastic and rattles when you open it, making it feel very cheap for what is a very expensive appliance. The wifi app functions are rudimentary and are more of a gimmick than useful.

I am on our 2nd 48" side by side refrigerator in 3 years and it doesn't work reliably. The first one was installed in Dec 2020 and we had over a dozen service visits in 2021. First it was leaking moisture from the door. Then it started repeatedly quit cooling for a few days. It would also run really really loud when moisture would build up on an internal fan and freeze. The fan would eventually stop and the refrigerator would stop cooling. We eventually got the right technician that went to bat for us and helped get Monogram and GE to agree to replace the refrigerator. It was installed in March 2022. In June 2023 it stopped cooling again. Technician came out, repaired, and 2 days later, not cooling again. I have no faith it will ever be right after our first experience. We will be working now to get our money back so we can buy one that works. I've had a $400 refrigerator in my basement that's 10 years old and never had a cooling problem. Also, for a $10,000 refrigerator, the ice should stay in the ice bin and not fall out the back and into every shelf. Every time we pull something out, ice falls on the floor.

We had the refrigerator/freezer installed back in October 2022. The ice maker has never worked and they refuse to replace the unit. I™€™ve had 5 service calls and every time they can™€™t fix it they generate a new service number so it looks like a new service request and not 8 months old. This has been a major hassle coordinating all the service calls and parts. I wish they would take it and reimburse us.

I ordered this unit as a replacement for a 12 year old KitchenAid 48 inch counter, depth refrigerator, freezer side-by-side area. I've only had this refrigerator for one day and a rice impressed with the lighting in the refrigerator compartment. However, the freezer compartment is not as well live and when the food is all stuff in to the freezer, it is actually dark hard to see anything.

I bought and had professionally installed December 2011. My first repair came in October 2018 due to lack of cooling and freezing. After the damper assembly was replaced, it operated beautifully. Then in March 2021, same issue came about. And wouldn't you know it, same exact issue again in January 2022 and January 2023. I am at a point where we are going to trash it and buy something new. I don't think the cost is justified when having to replace same part year after year and having to throw out loads of food each time. The kicker is now GE won't even service it anymore. I gave it 2 stars because it was a wonderful refrigerator for almost 7 years.

I've had many GE appliances over the years, and this one is one of the best. Huge capacity, well priced for a built-in, and well-balanced features make it a winner. And, bonus points for not requiring RFID water filters!

Lots of Room

This is a very well-designed refrigerator, with just one exception. I love the size and layout. The doors can hold a ton of products, including a full gallon jug of milk as well as tall wine bottles in the rare event you have leftover wine. There are separate bins for fruit, vegetables, and meat/cheese which makes finding things a breeze. The freezer also has good drawers for those miscellaneous items that seem to otherwise get lost in the back. I do wish it had a vertical space for pizza, but they fit flat on the shelves (with other stuff piled on top of them). The drawback to an otherwise near-perfect appliance is the ice-maker. It is very high - and even though I happen to be tall, it's awkward to scoop ice out. The door is narrow and the bin is deep, which is a tough combination to use on a daily basis. And the back isn't closed, so ice can fly out the back and down to other parts of the freezer. I knocked a whole star off due to that. In Texas we need easy access to ice and this part is disappointing, but not a deal killer. The other features overall are great.

Better than our old Fridge

We replaced another premium brand fridge with this unit during our renovation. Beautiful, works amazingly well, organized, and makes TONS of nice ice for cocktails or iced tea. Ice cubes are a little smaller than ™€œnormal™€ automatic ice maker cubes, which is nice. Highly recommended.
