Induction provides excellent control of temperature, better than gas and of course, regular electric cooktops. I™™ve had both. Smooth touch screen controls. We had the cooktop flush mounted, which makes it especially easy to clean. Looks sleek, too.

Good Stove Top

The cook top is beautiful to look at and seems to work fine. The only downside is finding cookware that the stove recognizes as magnetic. I have steel pans and a magnet sticks very securely to the bottoms. But they will not heat on the cook top. So, I've had to buy new pots and pans.

Only used the stovetop a couple times but I'm impressed with the quality in the Monogram stovetop appliance. For example, It took less than 2 min for water to boil in the stainless steel and the cast iron pans and when you take the pot of the burner it pauses the stove and eventually turns the stove off. A remarkable feature for people with memory problems. It also compatible with cast iron. I like the thought of being able to shut the stove off remotely for any reason. My husband said it is easy to use and wonderful to clean. Thank You

This is the first Induction cooktop and we were not sure what to expect. After the first time we used it we knew we made the right decision. Heats up very quickly and maintains even heat throughout the pot/pan while cooking. We are very happy with our choice and definitely recommend it.

This is our first induction cooktop from gas and we love it! Cooks impressively quick and evenly. Meat cooks really tender in short period of time. I used to start gas stove and while waiting to heat up, I started cutting vegetables etc™¦ but now it heats up so fast I don™™t have time to multi task. It takes time to get used to it but I don™™t think I would ever go back to gas. No more gas smell and fear of framing! Also cleaning up is so easy compared to gas stove. Only wish is that it sometimes get tricky to control the up and down and the control goes craze if something spills over it. Other than that I™™m very happy with my new beautiful cooktop.

Crashes or freezes constantly. Have to flip breaker to get it working, and we had the electric to the house updated for this, it still gets power, but freezes... often. Has 1 alarm for 5 burners. The low settings are great, but the higher temps jump too far between settings, I'd like more precision. Overall, don't love it

This is the best cooktop I've ever used. The controls are excellent, and the extra features that enable automatic control of temperature like the sous vide probe and the blue tooth pans are a huge bonus. It heats up quickly and doesn't make noise like some induction cooktops. And it's so easy to clean. The app needs work, though. And GE could do a better job with instructions. There were very poor instructions for how to get the sous vide probe working.

We were excited to use our new appliance in our updated kitchen right up until we found that not all of our "Induction Safe" cookware works on the cooktop. The cookware must be an exact fit if you want to fully enjoy the technology. Had to get rid of some of favorite pots and pans that had been used for generations.

Overall it's a good device. I wish that the foam separating the cooktop from the counter were more professional looking. And I wish it had continuously adjustable power rather than the ~10 discrete levels per 'burner'. But still glad I bought it.

I love that I got to install cleaner energy cooking and remove my gas cooktop. I have enjoyed the quick heating as and the great controls on the Monogram. My only concern is the discoloration of the glass. I had read about scratches but this is discoloration that GE's glass top cooktops do not suffer from why? I have had my induction last than one 1 month and already see discoloration that is not from scratches. See attached. I want to know how to remove these!

We decided to do a total kitchen remodel, and when my husband suggested an induction cooktop, I was very skeptical about it. I can tell you that the cooktop is amazing. Not only does it heat things up fast and cooks evenly, my granddaughter can not turn it on unless there is a pan on it. I can also turn it off / on from my phone/watch which is a plus. Would highly recommend it to my friends.

I feel like I have precise control over the temperature each burner is cooking and can easily adjust them. It is amazing how fast I can simply boil water. We recently moved into a house that had a very old self-venting cooktop that was very unpredictable and drove me nuts! I had been cooking with natural gas for 18 years and loved it but this beach house did not have the ability to plumb for gas. So induction was the only option as far as I'm concerned as I hate electric cooktops due to lack of control. I have yet to make use of the blue tooth & WIFI features but everything else is great. Water boils LIGHTENING FAST & I have the heat control I want and need. I went from a 30" cooktop to the Monogram Induction 36" and SO GLAD I did for the space and ability to have more things on the stove at once....especially since there is also a zone sharing of heat that comes into play with multiple things in the same zone. Definitely recommend. Buying compatible pots was a hassle since my space saving non-stick ones were only 3 yrs old but I am saving those for my son who also loves to cook!

A bIt disappointed

It™™s gray not black. Wife couldn™™t be more disappointed! The last Monogram was dark black without lines. We loved it until it quit working almost 10 years in. We have 5 Monogram appliances and 3 have had problems. One was minor, but happened 1 month out of warranty, GE didn™™t warrant it. The $5K fridge had a leaking compressor and GE only partially warranted it as the warranty was expiring. But we had to pay over a grand for labor while GE warranted the compressor. Look good but the quality has a ways to go.
