Our previous gas range was a Frigidaire. It lasted for 16 years before it developed some small problems. So we decided to look for a new range and found this range. The only difference is that it has 5 burners instead of four. We are very pleased with it!! Great quality and the price was right.

It heats up really fast which I think is pretty important and my pans don't get destroyed during it. But there's 5 burners and they seem to be pretty close together. Depending on what pan or pot I'm using I can't use the closest burner to it. Not usually a problem except that there's labels for each burner on what they should be used for. Great idea for someone that needs that extra guidance but if you're strictly trying to follow those labels your pans won't also fit. I'll also say that my apartment AC is right above my stove, so if my ac is running the left most two stove burners go out if they are on a low setting. Gas still goes tho, now that we figured out the cause we have to be more careful about using that side on low heat. I've had no issues with the oven, but it definitely smelled super weird that very first time. We had to use the self cleaning function before we used it on food because the smell was just so off. But, it burned away just fine and all food has been tasty and cooked evenly.

Awesome as a propane-converted appliance

We live rurally and so I was expecting to live more austerely in many respects, but this stove is the most amazing I™€™ve ever cooked on. It works with a propane conversion kit and lights easily, no matches. It™€™s luxurious actually, with a rapid boil burner, simmer burner, another specialty burner, and even a fifth burner in the middle. The stovetop has an open design, which allows spattering under the cast iron grill-prongs (don™€™t know the proper term) that hold the pots/pans, and my husband said that makes it harder to clean. I just lift them right off to clean when cool. The oven start is easy to work, and it beeps when at the desired temp. I got a small, narrow griddle pan to hold my stir spoons and place that on the central top burner when I only need 1-4 burners. This stove is luxurious for cooking and I can easily prepare a muli-entree dinner for nine on family holidays ™€¦ fun, actually!

Love it has a quick boil burner makes making dinner faster. I also love its easy to use and easy to clean. It's also pleasing to the eye in my kitchen. I don't like stainless but this black is timeless and matches so well. I love working with a gas vs electric stove as even in power outage I can cook. Oven doesn't overly heat the house which is great in this heat! I can bake and not worry about heating the house up.

This is the BEST oven/stove I have ever owned. The broiler is in the oven and not underneath (something that cheaper ovens seem to do and it's horrible), it's self-cleaning, it's easy to operate, it's beautiful, and it's super functional. Worth the money.

Stove is marvelous. However, I live where the Stove requires a propane conversion kit to which does not come with the stove when purchased. It was painful to get the right gas line kit to connect the Stove to the gas line. However, once the conversion kit, gas line, and correct flar tips were added, the Stove works like a champ. BINGO!

While it was an excellent range, I prefer cooking with gas as it is far more efficient and effective in my opinion for cooking. My new gas range was delivered today! I also own a side-by-side refrigerator freezer by frigidaire. It has two handles one on the door of the freezer and the other on the door of the refrigerator that are very similar to the one on the oven door of my new stove. My refrigerator is just shy of being a year old, I assumed the handles would be alike. I was wrong! There is a sharp edge on the entire length of the oven handle, top and the bottom. It is unacceptably sharp. Both handles on my side by side are as smooth as silk. I can't believe that QC let It go by. I was QC in an injection mold plant, I would have never let anything like this pass.I hope the rest of the stove is of better quality!

My number one complaint with this range is that the control panel is faulty and horribly designed. From day one it has a constant bussing noise coming from it. As someone who likes quiet, this is EXTREMELY annoying. It is so bad that I literally have to keep the braker to the stove off so that I can't hear it. A technician has come out and replaced the control board recently. The day it was installed, there were no issues. 3 days later, the issue resumed. There is no reason that you should be able to ear the electricity flowing through any of your appliances. This seems like a fire risk. Other than that, the stove top cooks nicely, but the oven doesn't. It holds too much steam and instead of your items baking, it's like they are being steamed. I've never had any issues with a stove or oven and I've cooked in several as a personal cook. But I've also never owned or used Frigidaire appliances. Wish I had another option.

Touch sensative Knobs are dangerous

Purchased about a month ago, We have had one instance already where my wife while reaching over the stove to the new Frigidaire microwave, slightly br ushed the knob, turning on the gas and didn't notice it until we could smell gas in the kitchen. The knobs are entirely too touch sensitive. I should not have to go out and buy knob covers to feel safe with my brand new stove, this is clearly a design flaw. The stove looks goodand works well but is a potential danger.

Gas fumes with oven

Strong fumes the entire time the oven is being used. Have to open windows and put a fan on to try and clear my home of the fumes every time I use it throughout the entire cooking time and also afterwards for quite some time. Was promised a tech would be out yesterday or today by the manager himself yet an employee told me there is no tech on either day so the issue is currently not resolved and I do not feel comfortable using this range with the strong fumes. I did do the "first burn" as instructed in the manual prior to cooking any meals. Disappointed and also in the customer service from the store where I purchased the range.
