It arrived broken and we couldn™€™t use the door features until fixed. Hot water takes a long time to heat. Water comes out very slow. Didn™€™t realize there wasn™€™t a maker in the freezer just the small one in the door. Would not suggest purchasing this frig.

The design and engineering of the fridge and freezer is great. Unfortunately, GE has a major issue in terms of delivery and quality. Our freezer was dented. They sent a replacement, which also came dented. Now trying again. The filter also is leaking and a tech came; replacing the filter unit as well. Again, love the design, but I am just absolutely shocked at the quality GE delivers. We bought all GE Cafe appliances and 2 of the 6 have major issues; still not solved after a month.

The day they installed the refrigerator the door with the dispenser on it leak water like a waterfall. Getting someone to come and help has been a nightmare. Phone number is almost impossible to get a hold of someone in person. I™€™ve had the refrigerator six weeks and still have not been able to use the dispenser.

I try to heat up my Keurig cup, and every time it comes back with a Fault Lockout message, and I cannot heat up the water. I need to turn off the refrigerator and wait 20 minutes to have it reset and then turn it back on to reset the error message

Do not buy this refrigerator. We had ours for 5 years and the evaporator went bad which should not happen after 5 years. Also the control board for the screen to make ice and water had to be replaced after 2 years. GE offered us a discount on a new refrigerator because our was old. They said that a 5 year old refrigerator is old. That is pretty much admitting that this appliance has a 5 year lifespan. I could not believe they wrote that and admitted to this. DO NOT BUY. Also read the reviews on BBB and see how many other people have had the same problems.

This is by far the smallest refrigerator I have ever had. The ice maker in the door takes up so much room in the main compartment, let alone the fact that it removes any appreciable door storage.

Ongoing issue with two refrigerators

We just had our second replacement refrigerator delivered, let™€™s hope third time™€™s a charm. We purchased our first refrigerator in October 2020. Eight months later, it stopped working, We got it serviced and the technician stated we had a leak that was undetected. Freon was added, and we were back in business. Six months later same problem. From that point, we kept getting our refrigerator serviced every 6 to 9 Months for the next three years. Finally in April 2024 we got a replacement refrigerator. Same model newer year. Fast-forward to December 2024, refrigerator number two stops working. Technician comes out and was able to detect exactly where the leak was coming from. Parts were ordered and new service appointment was scheduled for two weeks out. Now we™€™re two weeks out and technician spends three hours this time replacing six parts, including the compressor and some others. Technician leaves and as time went by I kept on checking the refrigerator and it was never getting any Cooler. The next morning the refrigerator was hot. At least GE didn™€™t drag the second replacement refrigerator on for three years. Like I stated I™€™m going with third time is a charm!!!!

Got this fridge just under 3 years ago to match the rest of the GE Cafe appliances in my new home. 2 years in and the sensor for the water filter went in to "Leak detected" error mode, and shut down all water and ice dispensing. The 1 year warranty had expired so I spent the next year paying over $1000 out of pocket for repairs. Inlet water valve was replaced, and all but 1 circuit board were replaced which got it working again for about 2 months before all the boards failed again. My GE certified repair tech's diagnostic app could not communicate to anything in the fridge and he advised me it was totally dead and to just junk it and buy a new fridge. I have a different brand fridge arriving next week, hopefully in time for the holidays! I will never buy another GE fridge.

Looks great and has nice features (hot water and coffee dispenser) but performance is sub par. I™€™ve had appliance for almost a month and can™€™t get replacement part (feeezer fan) in and replaced so haven™€™t had ice or freezer functioning correctly. How this past quality controls is questionable. Additionally it™€™s very hard to only open one side of the refrigerator and place something on main shelves without having to open both doors. This means you need both hands free. To get something in/out of the door is fine.

Had a total of 4 Cafe Refrigerators delivered to my house due to defects ranging from dented stainless doors, missing parts (handles and shelves) poor seals around lower freezer door. Currently on # 4 so far had to have fan motor replaced due to noise, had mother board replaced due to internal temp was not cooling below 40 degrees

Not happy with Keurig function. Need improvements

I am not happy with the Keurig part of the unit as it takes way longer than a portable unit to heat up and it is suppose to give you 10 oz of coffee and it is more like an expresso. An update should be made to fix this. After all, that is the only reason why I wanted this particular unit. Otherwise, it is not worth all the extra money to purchase!

Great except a few things

I love this fridge except for a few things I dislike. Doors not open wide enough. The bottom shelf is tilted aka not flat K-cup/hot water size wish k-cup went to 12 and the hot water could do 32 The precision fill having to hold it the whole time seems silly.

Overall a good appliance. There a few more advanced features it doesn™€™t have you™€™d expect for the price point. Example: it has measured fill for water, but then you have to stand and wait for the water to fill. Our old much lower model fridge had measured fill and then you walk away while it fills. The water volume is also much less so it takes more time to fill.

Bad compressor after 2 months

DO NOT BUY! I have a 2 month old cafe refrigerator that hasn™€™t worked in over a week. GE will not replace it, even though I was told by a GE technician that the compressor is out. They cannot even get the compressor replaced for another week. The refrigerator should have been replaced once the extent of the repair was realized, no problem. I have spent hours on the phone with them, nothing.

Worst Purchase of My Life

We thought we had hit the jackpot with this fridge! The Keurig feature was a selling point! However, never in my wildest dreams would I have ever thought that a refrigerator could cause so much stress. When I tell you that every single plastic shelf has been replaced on this hunk of junk, I™€™m not lying. EVERY SINGLE ONE AND MORE THAN ONCE. Now, the screen decided to stop working which is hundreds of dollars to replace. With the screen going out, we now have no ice and have had to throw out everything in my freezer because it™€™s no longer freezing the items. Not to mention, no filtered water and no Keurig. I am in tears as I write this. I have never been so frustrated. I will never be purchasing another GE product ever again. At this price point, the appliance should be flawless. For what I have spent to replace the shelves and now the screen, I could have purchased a top of the line appliance. Save your money and purchase any other brand.

I love this fridge. So nice not to have a big Keurig coffee maker on the counter. The app for GE appliances is awesome too, it allows me to schedule the Keurig to start heating up so it will be ready to go when I get up in the morning. I™€™m a baker so I can set custom water temperature for the perfect yeast to bloom. It also has a precise measure for water. If you need cups, quarts, etc. it measures it perfectly for you.

Dud of a Refrigerator and GE refuses to replace

I recently renovated and happy to add in the stylish and CAFE appliances, which I thought was backed by GE quality. I was very wrong with this Refrigerator. It has needed now a new cooling pump three times in less than 2 years, and entire new water line, heating system for the Keurig. Amazing quality when it works, but have had several issues (once under warranty with GE and then the extended, hopefully 3rd time losing all my Refrigerator contents and being without it for 2-3 weeks will be the last).

We purchased this refrigerator 12 months ago, and the relay switch went on it first. Had that repaired however, six days later, the fridge stopped cooling again and have now found out the compressor is gone. It took over a week for the extended warranty insurance company to allow a service technician to come out Only to diagnose the problem then several days later the company was allowed to come out and do the actual replacement of the relay switch. Again today repair service technician was just here and explained he could only diagnose problem as the compressor being gone but again they have to wait for the insurance to approve the repair. Hope it™€™s not going to be another week or 2. When you put out a small fortune for a refrigerator, you do not expect it to be seriously broken down in one year! Would not recommend to a friend.

This was a NEW refrigerator to replace the first one we bought that went bad in just 1 year. First the ice maker, which never got resolved, then the freezer went out. Now this NEW replacement arrives with a huge dent in the front panel and the freezer doesn™€™t work at all!!! Fridge barely works. On top of that I spent an hour on the phone with customer relations agent and service was horrible and unacceptable! The ™€œescalation manager™€ literally read from a script and just continued to talk over me and pushed me to a point of frustration after spending an hour on the phone and not having a working refrigerator for a freaking year!!!! I want a refund!! I will never buy from this company again and will be selling all 7 appliances I currently have and replace with a company who can stand behind their products and not put people in charge as their ™€œescalation management™€ like Adrianna™€¦ awful!!!!!

SOooooo VERY disappointed!! After months of shopping and deciding on what I thought was the best fit for us clearly is not. Feels and looks cheap. After 2 hrs in my kitchen, freezer not working. Flimsy shelves/drawers. Not the quality I expected from CafÃ. Returning mine!!!

Good refrigerator but could be better.

Overall a good unit. There are some concerns for the money. This refrigerator does not have a closure in fact its up until you force the doors close they will open to about 4 in. The other concern is the ice door is starting to frost around the seal.

Bought for the Keurig. Use it daily. It takes a bit to heat up and then it splashes on the fridge and drips constantly unless you pull the pod out right away. Messy- always pull the pod right after use.

Talk about all in one this baby is it! Yes it has your coffee pot too! It is amazing! GE has thought of everything! This refrigerator is so well organized inside lots of room for everything! I even registered so they tell me when it™€™s time for a new filter

Total Disappointment!

It sucks! First of all I never received the rebates for 4 Cafe appliances. The hot water takes easily 5 minutes to heat. It rarely dispenses the correct amount that I select. The cold water keeps dripping after I use it. This morning all the sudden the dispenser gushed water out 3 times. I have had this Cafe refrigerator for 1 year and it stopped working. The freezer temperature is 45 and the refrigerator temp is 69. Naturally I had to throw everything away. Besides all of that the Cafe convection/ microwave above the range stops working all the time too! I am rarely in this residence and have never used the Cafe gas slide in range that still has all the packing materials in the oven. I expected soooo much more from GE.

Brand new refrigerator and nothing but problems

Horrible. I rarely give a bad review, but when its deserving, its deserving. We bought our Cafe refrigerator about 4 weeks ago. After two weeks ice make stopped working. Then, last two weeks a loud noise seemingly from the motor keeps us awake at night. I cant make this up, just a nightmare experience. To top it off, I call GE repair to send someone out ASAP, I called May 8 for service appointment, earliest they will arrive is Monday May 15. SO we will have to put up with loud noise (and no ice) until Monday, even then I am afraid they will say we need to replace the whole unit which who knows how long that will take.

Have had it about a month and one of the major selling points for me was the Keurig feature. It malfunctions almost daily and leaks everywhere. Disappointed about that. I™€™ve only had it a month but the refrigerator itself seems to do the job

Nice spacious fridge, but don't do the keurig

This fridge is a nice upgrade from our prior one. There is ample space inside given the location of the ice maker. That being said, the keurig dispenser was not worth the additional cost. We were hoping to be able to get rid of our other k-cup coffee machine, but the keurig on the fridge is just too slow. Additionally it doesn't allow anyone to open the fridge doors or it will cancel making the coffee. So not worth the extra $100+ we paid for that feature. Finally, I was a bit disappointed in the quality of materials. The appliance seems to work well, but I just assumed it would feel a bit more heavy duty for the price.

Keeps breaking and keep being charged to fix

Expensive 2 year old refrigerator keeps breaking and I have to pay a trip charge to come out and fix same problem. 1) it shouldnt break. 2) I shouldnt be charged to have 2 swrvice calls in 6 months to fix same issue.

The refrigerator is excellent. The Keurig coffee maker on the Cafe refrigerator makes great coffee, the problem is it splatters coffee everywhere, what a mess each day.

Overall, good fridge. Only dislikes are that the ™€œmeasured fill™€ doesn™€™t automatically dispense the amount of desired water you input, rather it just shuts off once you reach that amount. Also, the freezer doesn™€™t always seal all the way and builds up frost around the contact points. Other than that, no complaints at all!
